I think changing the plogons into triangles is a good idea because if you add all the angles of a triangle together the degrees end up being 180 degrees. The reason to cut it up and for the degrees is because "Sam" talks about the degree 180. So Victoria idea is helpful. I think this group did a great job. Dan Yang

I agree with Dan Yang, because even if Sam's way might have been easier or more necessary, it was still a good idea to look at both Sam and Victoria's way because both ways helps you think while connecting to your schema. This group did a great job because they didn't tell you the answer, but instead the explained how they got the answer, and the strategies that helped them solve the question!

Thank you for explaining this so well... I was lost the first few times i saw the photostory. Yes Sam is correct and there are other ways to do it. I find that Sam's strategy is easier, -2 then multiply by 180. Eric

Sam's idea works because the number of degrees go up by 180. For 3 sides the degree was 180 and 180 is the first multile of 180 so if you minus 2 from 3 it's 1 and 1 times 180 equals 180. And that works for all the other numbers. So the group could have used there background schema of multiplation. I also think the group might have used other startiges part of their schema. Dan Yang
